Type: Historic Bed & Breakfast Lodge/First Class. Located near historic Russell in the beautifull bay of Islands, Orongo Bay Homestead is a historic restored Homestead set in 17 acres of lawns, native bush and natural spring, offering private facility accommodation, Finnish Sauna, Plunge Tub, private swimming lake, Guest Lounge and Guest Laundry Facility.

The Retreat (purpose-built for handicapped-access)

Garden floor of the lakeside wooden "barn", with lounging area, private waterfront deck, French doors, terracotta tiled floors, full tiled ensuite, ceiling fan, fridge & beverage facilities, super-king bed, wood panelled ceiling, traditional wood-panelled walls, CD sound system. A uniquely private retreat, very popular with honeymoon/anniversary/romantic bookings.

All the above rooms have evening turn-down with homemade truffles and spring water, evening towel refreshment where required, bath robes, complimentary natural skincare products. The lakeside dry Finnish sauna is free.

Dinner for all guests is by prior arrangement only, at $120 per head for a 4-course fine-dining meal, featuring organically-grown produce from our own estate. Our cellar features many top New Zealand wines and genuine Champagnes.

Rates local tax and "Bubbly Bake-House Breakfast" served till noon. Rates are per room per night, for double and single occupancy, and subject to change.
