We are situated just 2km off State Highway 1, forty minutes north of Dunedin at Palmerston.

Our setting is definitely rural, the nearest town, Palmerston, being 10 km away. Shag Point is an area of holiday homes, about fifteen along a 3km stretch of road, with about twenty permanent residents.

Our house overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is handy to beaches, forest walks, Trotters Gorge and the Moeraki Boulders. Seals, shags, and yellow-eyed penguins are permanent residents at the Point. This is an unspoilt area unseen by tourists yet well worth a look.

Bed and breakfast accommodation is available in twin or bunk rooms, while other facilities are shared.

We also accept wwoofers (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) to come and work in our beautiful garden in exchange for staying with us. Contact us for further details.
